As the Lead Engineer for the 747/767/777 Emergency and Miscellaneous Equipment Team, my team was responsible for the installation and certification of all emergency equipment within the main passenger cabin interior, crew rests, supernumerary and the main deck cargo area of freighters. In addition, the team was responsible for installing certain miscellaneous items such as literature pockets, magazine racks, bassinet tables, and certificate holders in the same areas. My team was responsible for producing configurations that satisfy all Emergency Equipment requirements as outlined in the United States Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 14, Part 25 and EASA Certification Specifications for Large Aeroplanes CS-25 (formerly known as JAA JARs). Indirectly, they also certify CFR 14 Part 121 and EURO OPS 1 (formerly JAR-OPS 1), Subpart K. Emergency Equipment accomplishes this by adhering to Company guidelines, policies, and procedures. My team also provided accurate Foreign Letter of Definition (LOD) and Certification Plans (CP) to the Interior Crashworthiness Certifications Team, such that our Authorized Representatives (AR) is able to sufficiently review the airplane for compliance to all applicable FAR/CS requirements.

Double Eagle Commercial Tankers - Developed hull outfitting layouts of the three (3) level engine room;

Naval Architecture developing modification structural/outfitting drawings for the Norfolk Navy Yard for CVN’s LHD’s and LHA’s. Project Lead on USNS Flint and USNS El Paso conversions from active/reserve fleet to Military Sealift Command active ships (commercial). All work was as a project manager role to layout project and then ensure that project was completed on time.

SSN688 Class/Seawolf Class Submarines (Machinery Design)Take a system from initial concept and see it through until the final design is completed (Torpedo Tubes, Air Induction Diesel Exhaust Valve, All sail systems (Periscopes, snorkel, etc.); Minor work on Weapons Handling Systems (Seawolf); Produce and complete HMR’s (cost & design changes; estimating man-hours, cost per job, etc.); Evaluated shock test reports from the Navy labs and reported findings to NAVSEA Systems Command, Washington, D.C; Required to give periodic presentations to upper management about design, quality of work, status of work/project;
