I am an experienced, motivated leader in the US Navy. I have over 9 years of experience in safe reactor plant operations and propulsion plant supervision having led teams during major propulsion plant evolutions as well as led and supervised complex maintenance. I am transitioning out of the Navy in September 2021 and I am looking to continue power plant operations, training and maintenance. However I am also interested in opportunities to use my skills in different industries.On my submarine, I was sought out by the ship's engineer for my technical expertise and experience in all reactor instrumentation and control issues and recognized as one of the most knowledgable operators on board. I was trusted with training the newly qualified junior officers on how to lead the propulsion plant during routine and casualty scenarios.I am also an experienced instructor having spent the last 3 years training students on safely operating a nuclear power plant, maintenance on instrumentation and control systems, nuclear theory, mechanical theory, and electrical theory. During this time I was also hand selected to join the maintenance team and immediately made an impact repairing critical instrumentation and control equipment to ensure the capability to continue to train students.
