I work as part of a small team to provide an effective support service for the Majority Group of elected Councillors at Nottingham City Council. The key responsibility of this role is to support the Councillors with casework raised by members of the public, on subjects ranging across the whole range of Council services. I liaise between the Councillors, the residents, and Council officers to make sure that we respond to enquiries accurately, promptly, and constructively, to help resolve any issues that residents would like to raise with their Councillors.

A three-month fixed-term position working in the European Studies department at the British Library. The key responsibilities involved promoting public engagement with the Library's East European collections by writing regular blog posts, responding to enquiries from researchers and other members of the public, producing a report on the Library's collection of journals on East European subjects, and engaging in a broad variety of curatorial activities.

While completing my PhD, I worked with the European Collections department and the exhibitions team to help plan, research, and produce the British Library's major exhibition to mark the centenary of the Russian Revolution. I participated in regular exhibition planning meetings, helped to identify and select exhibition items, resesarched and wrote explanatory text, and helped to organise special events linked to the exhibition.
