Hardware Engineer for the J2 High-Speed Digital tester. I designed the digital portion of the system’s main Channel Card printed circuit board. This Automated Semiconductor Tester was designed to test digital semiconductors capable of very high transfer rates at the time.Hardware Engineer responsible for the design of the UltraFlex™ System Control Board. This sub-system was responsible for communications between the test computer and the test system, system clocking, timing calibration, DC calibration, and miscellaneous controls. The design involved ASIC, FPGA, very precise DC level, and AC timing control for calibration of the system. As well as sophisticated PCB designs for high speed, high power, and very sensitive signals.I was responsible for the successful integration of a large number of automated test instruments into a unified system for the UltraFlex™. The instrumentation encompassed high speed digital, wideband analog, and high power DC testing. I worked with a broad range of engineering disciplines and troubleshot problems from DC to light. I am experienced with standard laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) and also designed custom troubleshooting equipment for use by others on the project. I also supported manufacturing testing of a High-Speed Digital Test Instrument, working with both manufacturing and test groups.
