At FTP Technologies, I was responsible for the following:* Remote Support for local as well as international clients.* Onsite Support for local clients when required.* Advising and Quoting on hardware and software needs.* Regular security meetings with an international client which I managed. This included the development and management of their Microsoft InTune environment, as well as troubleshooting any issues that arose from changes made within Microsoft InTune. Documentation of these issues was necessary, as well as the implementation of a plan of action and the estimated time required to resolve. An extensive change control process was mandatory when making any live changes within the Microsoft InTune environment. This would involve extensive testing using "Test Policies" on several testing machines with varied hardware. I would then push the live change to a controlled group before rolling out to the entire company, which avoided unnecessary downtime and/or loss of business. I started out as a Field Tech/Command Centre Support Engineer at B-logic where I gained an extremely broad set of skills. I was thrown into situations that required me to think out of the box, this really helped me advance in my career far more than any exams I had written in the past. I was also privileged to be the first Engineer to take on their first Mac Client (Ad Dynamo), where i was able to further extend my knowledge in the Apple Environment. Through the company, I then attended further training courses to familiarize myself with Apple products. I was then positioned onsite at a Financial Advisory Firm where I was responsible for everything onsite, as well as remote branches. In between, I would be situated at the Command Center (B-Logic), and assist with tickets from the HelpDesk. Additionally, I was involved in project work, and assisted with everything needed from cabling to the server rack and everything in between.

My responsibilities included technical support related to hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, as well as Technical Sales.

At Chaos I was more of an all-rounder. I was involved with everything to do with the store including the ordering of stock, sales of products, manning the cashier desk, and running the technical department alone when situations were tight. I loved every second of pressure and thrived on the challenge.
