Technical Lead for the Vanguard Experience team. This team is responsible for implementing Vanguard's design system into reusable components for the rest of the company to consume and use in their applications.

This role initially for a Senior Front-End Engineer, which was then transitioned to a Full-Stack role. For this role I was on a cross functional CX Journey Lab team. My responsibilities included maintaining an existing application that was written in Java and AngularJS, adding new functionality to the existing application, and creating a new Java web service. The web service was Vanguard's first implementation of an Azure Active Directory application, and to do this I had to create a pattern for using Microsoft Graph services that other future projects at Vanguard could follow. In my role as a Senior Front-End Engineer I also worked with other developers to create a new base project for future Angular applications at Vanguard, and supporting other developers with any Angular related issues.

I'm currently working on the flagship web application for Berkadia as they're ambitiously transforming from a commercial loans company to a technology company in the financial space. I'm their leading Angular specialist and part of my role includes running a weekly meeting for all of the company's Angular developers to review changes to the platform, establish best practices, and answer questions from other developers. I'm also heavily involved in NodeJS development and have worked towards establishing how Berkadia writes back-end services.My role includes working with UI designers and UX specialist to develop maintain a design system that's used company wide.
