Michael Chen is a Machine Learning Research Intern at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Colleagues describe him as "Michael's technical expertise and ability break down and solve complex problems independently is equal to that of full-time engineers many years his senior. While interning at our organization, Michael was tasked to evaluate data and, using that data, build a full user-facing system from scratch. He accomplished this not only successfully, but also while being fully remote due to the pandemic situation. During this project, there were many instances where Michael encountered situations where his knowledge was insufficient, and in nearly all of them he independently picked up the required knowledge and solved the challenges before our next stand-up meeting. Michael will do very well in his subsequent roles, and be an asset to any team."
