Worked with the Secretary on all matters relating to OPM's duties, including:Advising the Governor on all matters related to fiscal policy; policy initiatives, particularly those initiatives that cross agency lines; state agency management issues, including agency strategic business planning; the reorganization of state government; labor relations; the impact of state policies on local governments; financial management policies and practices in all state agencies; and legislative matters,Served on the University of Connecticut Health Center Board of Directors.

Worked on all issues related to CCEDA's redevelopment mission, including:Overseeing the contracts with the manager for the Connecticut Convention Center, the operator of the Center's utility plant, the operator of CCEDA's 2400 plus parking spaces and the marketing entity for greater Hartford,Working with the selected developer for the Front Street entertainment and housing district,Working with the various stakeholders for the Adriaens Landing project, including the state and city governments, non profit organizations and corporate entities,Lobbying before the legislative and executive branches,Working with outside legal counsel on various legal matters such as labor disputes and development agreements, and Handling all print, radio and television media relations for CCEDA.

Responsible for the coordination of all legislative issues for OPM, including: Participating in policy formation, and subsequent drafting of proposed legislation to implement policy changes, Submitting proposals to the appropriate committees, tracking and advocating for the proposals throughout the legislative process, Testifying before legislative committees at public hearings, and preparing written testimony and briefing other OPM officials in preparation for their testimony,Working with members of the General Assembly to lobby for passage of administration bills, including the biennial state budget and related proposals, the tax package, and other non-budget related bills,Working with members of the General Assembly on requests for state bond money, andSupervision of three legislative liaisons. Managed the IGP division which provides policy recommendations to the Governor and legislature on intergovernmental issues, municipal finance, and property tax assessment and collection. The division also administers municipal property tax relief and formula grant programs with a total annual appropriation of over $450 million.
