I currently am a second year student at Arizona State University studying Construction Management and minoring in real estate. Prior to coming to Arizona State, I interned at a luxury pool builder in Danville, California named Riviera Pools. At Riviera Pools, I met with potential customers in initial meetings to address their needs and concerns when it comes to building pools. I also assisted in estimating and creating formal bids for pools. During my first year of construction management at Arizona State, I took construction classes that emphasized blueprints, building materials, and estimation. After I finished my first year at ASU, I interned for a luxury residential contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area called Young and Burton Builders. At Young and Burton, I helped process change orders, RFI’s and submittals for 8 custom homes around the Bay Area. I assisted estimators in doing takeoffs and putting together estimates. Part of my duties were to help create schedules for the project managers and help them on their day to day duties. Currently, I am finishing up my second year at ASU where I have finished construction courses in OSHA safety, construction technology, heavy civil construction and electrical management and estimating.
