Managed a team to originate and underwrite security offerings guaranteed by various governments around the world.

Managed an origination and underwriting business focusing of obligations guaranteed by the US government. Including obligations supported by The Export-Import Bank, The Overseas Private Investment Corporation, The US Department of Defense, The US Small Business Administration, The US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Financed a $1.0 billion plant expansion in Zaragoza, Spain together with a number of manufacturing supply facilities and setting up financing programs for GMAC. Hired and trained a staff of ten to implement programs. Utilized local banks and export-credit programs from around the world to purchase machinery, plant and equipment. Arranged foreign exchange contracts covering large Peseta/Duetsch mark exposures. Negotiated with Spanish government to capture significant incentives. This was a four year assignment.Transferred from NY Treasure's Office to Spain. In NY, was responsible for investing GM's short-term cash, managing various debt offerings by the Corporation. Led a team to negotiate financing programs and incentives with various governments around the world when GM was building or expanding facilities. This work involved projects in Spain, Austria, Singapore, Mexico, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and France. Developed monthly presentations for the Board of Directors covering a range of operating and financial issues.
