Sales Engineer for the supply of technology and full services for sustainable and modular filtration solutions to purify air, gas, water, and liquids safely.

Currently working under contract in support of an independent and highly experienced engineering and fabrication company based in Houston. The company includes all the engineering disciplines and design, with value-based engineering and design capabilities. Fabrication includes pipe spools and structural steel to full size modules and large vessels.

I was brought in to help lead a project to evaluate NORIT Activated Carbons in a new application. The focus of the effort encompassed a full technical and financial evaluation of this technological solution as well as full evaluations of all other alternative solutions currently in use. The project was concluded with preparing the roll out to marketing and sales. The results of the effort were extremely encouraging with two successfully operating projects completed and FID evaluations initiated on others.  It required also a determination of fit, any limitations of throughput or operating range in order to define the size of target market Included Case Studies of the existing units in service with the support from clients to roll out to the sales and marketing teams.

This required coordinating EPC contracts and working with and developing strong relationships with technology providers and construction contractors. Involved in bringing in a major contract to design, fabricate and supply as modules a new hydrogen technology as part of a Renewable Diesel project in Kansas based on Topsoe technology.  Brought in a contract with a major university to engineer, design and fabricate the modules for a new groundbreaking CO2 capture technology. Brought in two renewable natural gas opportunities and a renewable H2 opportunity as the preferred EPC because of our technical knowhow, fabrication capabilities and automation and integration expertise.

Director Business Development Mar 2018 – Jul 2019Joined an opportunity as a Technical member of a team assembled to gain a stronger position in the Oil and Gas market coordinating full EPC services to mainly the midstream, marine LNG and marine terminals markets. The team member instrumental bringing in our first full EPC opportunity within our first few months and ultimately the successful bidder for the $110 MM project.  Developed numerous additional opportunities with scope from full EPC to project execution and construction with clients new to Lexicon including a marine LNG project.

UOP Gas Processing DivisionResponsible for gaining a position for UOP’s licensed gas processing and purification technologies in the Gasification and LNG markets. Coordinated domestic and international efforts with major contractors for projects initially in Qatar, Australia and now North America for LNG as well as for the major Gasification and Syngas projects in North America and Europe. UOP Process Plants DivisionSale of the PSA and Membrane technologies for light gas processing, hydrogen recovery and purification in the Refining, Petrochemical Industries and introducing to the Gasification market.

Following two years as technical support and field services engineering and trouble shooting, they ended their distributor contract and moved me into a sales and technical support roll to improve North American operations profitability. Responsibilities included conversion of the marketing thrust away from the declining natural gas market prices to the more profitable niche areas of the refining and petrochemical industries in the Gulf coast.
