RESPONSIBILITY & ACHIEVEMENT PROFILE: Of Fidelity’s 259 funds, only 7 were Morning Star 4 or 5 and most had not grown 3 years after their seed funding. On the first family office product review, was given a 42 page deck, mostly without financials which showed a planned loss of $70M with a 5 year aggregated loss expected at $400M. Investigation revealed culture of entitlement and familiarity rather than performance with poor value systems throughout. Identified multiple issues from compensation to overall lack of Board-level engagement. Navigating heavy resistance, created a restructuring plan and led execution. This effort yielded $1.5B in net profit improvement and the following benefits were realized within a year;• Leadership Team Restructure: Investigated roles and achievements within the leadership team. In 90 days, eliminated underperforming members (70%) and targeted, recruited, negotiated compensation, and hired a new leadership team. This effort saved $150M in payroll.• Technical Infrastructure Realignment: Existing systems required 600 applications to run the retail brokerage system. Consolidated and evolved systems architecture. Installed an international clearing structure within 8 months, which today generates $500M in profit.• Fixed Income Capabilities: Built out fixed income capabilities. This improved ratings from number 60 in Municipal bond underwriting to number 11 the first year.• Diversification of Product Offerings & Capital Market Segment Refocus: Installed better capital market capabilities; international clearing and increasing the Institutional distribution to focus on the family office market. • Managed $18.8B in outstanding credit and reduced it to $7.2B with zero write-offs. Clients included HNW, Retail, & Institutions.Net benefits from the above efforts exceeded profit goals by $1B and international clearing yielded $500M in net profit.

Dec 2006 - Feb 2010

Chief Executive Officer | Ceo | Senior Executive Vice President, Worldwide Securities Services

New York, Ny, Us

ACHIEVED WHILE SERVING IN THIS ROLEScope of Responsibility & Achievement: Profitability dropped 15%, causing market share erosion (from #1 to #4) and frustrating Senior Management. Recruited and commissioned to restore growth and profit. Investigation revealed internal politics, ingrained laziness, and lack of direction and passion were root causes. Created a recovery and business model evolution strategy and implemented. The following benchmarks were realized within the year;• Team Leadership: Rallied, trained, and inspired the team, challenged losses and celebrated wins; establishing and evangelizing metrics for each level of performance. • Customer Engagement Strategy: Conceived a strategy to personally approach the top 20 performing clients and the top 20 at risk clients. Penetrated, identified issues and offered and executed solutions. • Tax Optimization: Identified opportunities for tax reductions and commissioned the writing off of $400M encumbered assets.• Alpha Management: Created an alpha investment management strategy with OTC Derivatives, Syndicated loans, & CDO’s. This created a first mover advantage and was a clear differentiator. The above efforts took the market by surprise as our team achieved an unprecedented, multi-trillion-dollar growth (from $9T to $16T) in 30 months and more than doubled profit (from 17% to 42%). Representing 37% of the banks Capital Value.• M&A: Identified an opportunity to expand servicing capabilities for internalized transactions through the acquisition of a technology company. The business grew exponentially as revenue upon acquisition was $9.2M with $800k profit and within 24 months, under our leadership achieved $100M with 33% profit. JPM was able to achieve and maintain 65% market share as a data aggregator (92% of market) for 4 years through the balance of tenure. Sold the entity (Wall Street Office) for a $330M net gain in 4 years. This event was featured in various industry publications as well.

New York, Ny, Us

ACHIEVED WHILE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO), CORPORATE TRUSTScope of Achievement & Responsibility: Conceived a new asset management based product offering. Investigated regulatory issue potential and built the first to market strategy to create Owner Management System (OMS) to handle 14 product options and re-oriented the Debenture-based team through training and marketing campaigns. This transformed the business from Corporate Trust to Asset Servicer with a full set of 14 products and achieved profitability as the following benefits were realized;o Margins: Within the year, drove trust margins from 28% to 46%.o Revenue Growth: Within 3 years, drove revenue from $80M to $ 1.5B.o Fee Growth: The initiative yielded $200M in fees to other partner businesses within JP Morgan.o Leveraged $22T: In total, FX related revenue represented 55% of the entire capital markets foreign exchange activity for JP Morgan. The above efforts resulted in the collective JP Morgan franchise achieving $450M in high margin profit, $250B in assets under management, over $500M in revenue growth (15% in margin improvement), and $2B FX revenue (with 80% margin). JP Morgan Chase ultimately became the retail market leader and had a DCF analysis estimated to be the worth $5B. This was featured in American Banker and other industry periodicals. Japan was supportive due to increased liquidity for their NPL’s. Mexico wanted a secondary mortgage market once regulatory approval was achieved. Navigated or engaged Global and US regulators while developing new systems and sales/distribution schematic.
