I’ve been an English teacher for over 8 years now, teaching a mix of private students and groups, both online and in-class, although, for much of the past few years the majority of these lessons have been for private students taught online.Many of these private students have been with me for several years now, with some even as long as seven years. Not only have these students improved their English, but I’ve also helped many of them to pass exams, such as IELTS and TOEFL, gain entrance into universities, and even get jobs in their chosen careers.For the most part I've taught general and academic English, but one specialist area I do have is the airline industry, specifically cabin crew. At a cabin crew training school, I helped devise a course, which I then taught myself, centred around preparing cabin crew candidates for the job interview process. It was enormously successful, with many students going on to get jobs at major international airlines like Qatar Airways, Etihad, Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines and Thai Airways.In the past, I’ve taught to pre-prepared lesson material provided by the schools, but one of my main strengths is to devise the material myself, which has allowed me to develop unique and effective methods for teaching various aspects of English that typically prove problematic to students.
