Named in “The Top 50 Cybersecurity Leaders of 2021” and again in 2022 by The Consulting Report for my innovative contributions to cybersecurity, I advise Boards, CEOs, C-suites, and CISOs on IT, OT, and Product technology and cybersecurity strategy, implementation, and resilience. Currently I am CEO of DBOS, Inc. that produces a revolutionary cloud native computing platform, Senior Advisor to BCG, on the Board of Directors of Opscura, Inc. an OT cybersecurity company, Associate Director of Cybersecurity at MIT Sloan, and Advisor to Safe Security Inc., The Decision Lab, and the USC Election Cybersecurity Initiative. I was formerly the Managing Director that built and led BCG's Technology and Cybersecurity Practice from 2016 through 2021. In 2014, I co-founded the Cybersecurity research consortium at MIT Sloan (http://cams.mit.edu) and continue to serve as Associate Director. I assisted the National Security Council in the NIST Cybersecurity Framework process receiving a letter of appreciation from the White House for my leadership. Prior to BCG, I was the Vice President of NextNine Inc. (acquired by Honeywell), where I created and led the execution of the cyber security product and business strategy. I also created and managed the global partnerships with NextNine’s largest strategic customers, almost two dozen companies in the Fortune Global 1000, on five continents including: ABB, Allscripts, ARRIS, Honeywell, Motorola, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Shell, Tokyo Electron, Yokogawa Electric, and others. I began my career at HP, DEC, Maher Terminals and ExxonMobil. Afterwards, I was the founder and CEO of Codenoll (NASDAQ: CODN), eventually purchased by ADC Telecommunications, where I remained as Vice President of Marketing and CTO for Digital Broadband Communications for four years. Later, I founded Magjic LLC and consulted for several high-technology companies and venture-capital firms. I am the author of 17 patents on network equipment, data protocols, cyber risk quantification, and fiber optic semiconductor devices. I have also authored numerous scholarly contributions and The Fiber Optic LAN Handbook with a circulation of 100,000 copies. I have also appeared on PBS Television and Bloomberg Radio discussing technology and cybersecurity. Recipient of several industry awards, an (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering at MIT, Master's in Business Administration from Columbia University, and a second Master's in Mathematics from NYU's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
