As the Lead of Arnold Clark's Product Management team, I report directly to the Chief Digital Officer and play a crucial role in shaping the digital landscape of the UK's largest car retailer. My responsibilities span across both internal and customer-facing products that are integral to the company's operations across more than 250 physical locations and managing transactions that exceed £6 billion in annual revenue.As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I share responsibility for guiding and developing a diverse team of approximately 120 software development professionals. This includes Engineers, Testers, Designers, and Product Managers. My remit extends beyond day-to-day management, encompassing the cultivation of a dynamic and innovative company culture, strategic planning, and the recruitment and professional growth of our team members.

Hired to Product Manage and help transform Arnold Clark's legacy, but critical, core EPOS system.During my time in this role I introduced centralised tooling to the dept (Jira) and played a part in aligning the working practices and comms across multiple product teams, as welling as playing my part in the delivery of several major user experience enhancements and business critical features.

As the Founder of Songbox, I have single-handedly created a profitable MusicTech SaaS platform that is used by a multitude of Grammy-winning and multi-platinum songwriters, artists and producers worldwide, as well as major record labels and artist management agencies.In my role, I personally oversee every aspect of Songbox, from its strategic direction and product management, to marketing and customer relations whilst also driving its technological innovation and user experience enhancements.

Leadership of 20 person digital product and development team, reporting to the CEO.Represented "Product & Technology" on the operations board.In this role my main responsibilities involved product and technical strategy, line management, investor relations, board liaison, business liaison, business analysis, product management, recruitment as well as hands-on-the-tools software development.Played my part in delivering• Bespoke new platform (Websites and CMS) to host magazine content from our many global brands• Bespoke websites and back end systems for multiple awards sites (Classic Rock Awards, Metal Hammer Awards)• Separate native mobile apps for our radio station and our magazine content• Bespoke magazine publishing platform which handled the full journey of magazine creation from idea to supermarket shelves)• Native digital magazine versions to the major app storesNB - This role pertains to TeamRock (a former sub-division of Future Publishing now known as LouderSound)

Subsequent to the acquisition of several major brands, I was brought in primarily to manage the new working relationship between a (legacy) London based editorial / content team and a (new) Glasgow based digital / software development team.Primary areas of skillset I needed to tap into in this role where leadership, communication & product management.
