To provide information and advice to the Area Facilities Services Managers on the performance of the contracts for cleaning, waste, security, catering and generally to provide feedback on the state of the building portfolio by carrying out weekly compliance checks on the status of each building, including fire, general health and safety issues arising etc.Work in conjunction with external and internal suppliers of security functions to ensure parking, access control and other general staff management issues are dealt with a controlled and timely manner.Escalate health and safety matters, minor contact breaches to external contractors and major contract breaches to CBC Area Facilities Services Managers

Responsible for the facilities management for the offices ensuring the maintenance and repairs of the buildings are kept up to standard. The maintenance is either completed by me or by arranging an external contractor to come in. I am also responsible for understanding the project management for moves within the council offices. This involves agreeing project objectives, representing the client’s interests, providing independent advice on the management of projects, organising the various stakeholders both internal and external who are working with the project, risk assessments, making sure that all the aims and quality standards are met often within tight deadlines, making sure the quality standards are met, monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained and arranging quotes and costings to the directors.
