My technical background allows for understand of complex problems and enables effective risk management in both a safety and project space.Demonstrating my technical skills enabled me to attain Engineering Authority (EA) as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) for F/A-18 A/B Hornets, PC-9 and PC-21 platforms, allowing me to develop and review significant design changes. This position has therefore enabled me to progress both my technical and project management skills.One of the highlights of my career was the opportunity to attend the F/A-18 International Structural Integrity Forum (FISIF). I was fortunate enough to be able to present details of a technical and project nature to a forum of international experts from partner countries operating the F/A-18 A/B Classic Hornets.

Whilst in this position I was able to complete several significant projects: - Assurance of ageing aircraft systems integrity for the F/A-18- Resolution of safety concerns for the PC-9/A landing gear systems- Enabling the service life extension of the PC-9/A through a structural life assessment and aircraft teardownThe embedded role at DGTA also comprised regulatory responsibilities, involving interpretation ADF Technical Airworthiness Regulations (TAREGs) and compliance assurance. The ADF transition to Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) has provided me with insight into the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) regulations. A proud achievement was also being able to establish the QinetiQ internal Professional Development Seminars program. This program offers employees the opportunity to present to all of their colleagues on a topic of their choice, typically a recent successful project. This not only improves the presenters communication skills, but encourages all employees to partake in professional development by acquiring knowledge on different areas of the business.
