I offer classes and consultations to individuals and groups seeking to learn about yoga and how it can help them improve their lives. I have taught adolescents, the elderly, accomplished yogis and first time students. I enjoy combining humor and gentle commentary with rigorous poses and meditations designed to help bring awareness and vitality to the practitioner.

Work with vulnerable students, dealing with dyslexia, depression, ADHD, anxiety and ASD focusing on strategies for managing self under stress, communicating effectively to peers and adults, and career planning. Co-teach classes in Geometry, English Literature, and Environmental Science. Advise school's Chess Club.

I will be working with students to optimize their preparation at High Mowing School so that they might take the best possible next step (or two!) in their journey towards personal fulfillment.

Responsible for developing experiential learning opportunities for emotionally handicapped youth -- created internships, field trips, coursework, counseling program to help students become more self sufficient and employable. Taught courses in Reading, US History, Economics, Government and Psychology. Designed curriculum for students taking HiSet test to earn High School Equivalency Diploma.

Volunteer. Worked with community members to develop a better understanding of the threat posed to teens by substance abuse.

Worked with at risk students, their families and community leaders to develop transitional plans for young people in grant funded position. Created internships, teach job readiness, offer support and job coaching. Developed Transition Program curriculum.

Met with clients, primarily adolescents and their families, seeking support and relief from depression, anxiety, behavior related to ADHD, ODD, and ASD. Used client-centered cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy modalities to help clients reframe their situations and reexamine their strengths and resources.

Consulted with classroom teachers re. best practices for students with disabilities. Co-taught classes in social studies, math, English. Provided case management services for emotionally handicapped youth. Developed a Peer Mediation program, a social entrepreneur program, and a performing arts program that raised money for charity.

Developed and taught experiential classes for special ed students in social studies, math, and health. Implemented Individual Education Plans, first point of contact for parents, concerned teachers, administrators regarding special ed students. Taught classes to graduate students seeking certification as counselors, advised students on courses and internships, developed curriculum for Human Growth and Development course.

Directed a program that placed college aged interns in full time internships while they shared apartments with peers in the program. Interns pursued a variety of interests, completed community service learning projects, managed their households and interacted with one another as members of a educational community.
