- Secretariat for the Cement Regulator Interface Group (RIG) working with members on environmental and regulatory matters affecting the sector. - Supporting the lime members environment working group.- Building and maintaining close positive working relationships and liaising with the environment regulators (EA, SEPA, NRW, NIEA) and Defra ensuring the sector is represented in a positive and beneficial manner.- Building and maintaining close positive working relationships with other key stakeholders.- Spearheading work on the development of a future environmental regulatory regime that supports net zero innovation and the circular economy. - Providing advice and guidance on the complex area of waste regulation and law.- Presenting on various topics at different types of meetings to all levels of participants.- Working with colleagues in European and Global associations on topics such as the UN Plastics Treaty and the Basel Convention.- Drafting responses on behalf of members to relevant consultations.- Providing one-to-one support to members on environment and regulatory issues affecting their sites and undertaking site visits.

- Undertaking environmental permit applications (e.g., new, variations, transfer and surrender) as required by business needs.- Liaising with the environment regulators (Local Authority, EA, SEPA, NRW) as part of the application process.- Instructing and managing consultants engage on several complex permit applications. - Administrating the payment of all annual permit subsistence fees.- Providing support the the Environment Team on compliance and regulatory matters.- Attending site development meetings and site visits as required.- Building and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
