Head Of Visitor Operations
Responsible to the Territory Director for the management of five operational managers, 40 Full-time Equivalent posts, 170 volunteers, income of £1.1 million, expenditure of £1.1 million, delivery of capital projects in 2006-07 of £1.2 million.Responsible for all aspects of visitor income, care and safety at 13 staffed properties in the Territory. Responsible for identifying capital projects such as;five refurbished historic rooms and children's play area - Brodsworth Hallexhibition, ossuary and development as a charging property - St Peters Churchexhibition, visitor facilities and development as a charging property - Thornton Abbey Gatehouselandscape restoration, bracken eradication and development as a woodland park - Beeston Castleopening as a charging visitor attraction with exhibition and guided tour - York Cold War Bunkerin addition to business planning for a new visitor centre at Brodsworth Hall, reducing operational deficits, developing site and management teams, producing business plans and developing 'site visions'.Additional responsibilities included – lead Head of Visitor Operations (HVO) for Estates Liaison in North Territory, ensuring colleagues were involved and understanding of conservation needs, devising systems with Estates colleagues to capture and prioritise maintenance requests.Lead HVO for both security and property licensing in North Territory, auditing territory standards against national standards and devising recommendations to meet standards.
