Current• Leads the overall IRRT effort on evaluating Falcon launch vehicles. Transitioned oversight from qualifying a new launch vehicle through to Falcon becoming a relied workhorse where the Government is a minority customer. • Acts as technical Chief Engineer for all SMC Launch Vehicles. Ensures consistency in evaluation of risks between different launch vehicles. Evaluated how proposed changes would affect overall risk posture and recommended modifications to improve the design. • Worked closely with SpaceX as they used MBSE to design the Falcon 9 and then used various models to constantly monitor and optimize the overall rocket and performance.• Wrote the Operating Instruction on how the IRRT would investigate, develop, document, evaluate, manage, and present Risks both to the Launch Decision Authority and the Development Contractor. The majority of the electronic record keeping was done via JIRA, Confluence and LiveLink. This ensured complete transparency with all parties, provided an historical record, and allowed effective work prioritization and tracking. This database is used IRRT wide. Assisted various panel leads in modifying this tool to allow them to assign and track taskings to individual team members. • Applied Agile methodologies to allow the IRRT organization to adapt to new workloads prioritizing this workload with existing tasks. This also ensured that all tasks were identified and tracked to completion across a team of over 30. To do this, we used Agile Release Trains using a modified SAFe approach. • Managed the transition of the JIRA database from DI2E to Platform 1 when the government decided to change solution providers. This involved rewriting all the code and fixing all the security and logic issues with the original version. The Platform 1 JIRA implementation is better tailored to the current IRRT needs and is integrated with the other organizations at SMC allowing freeflow of data between groups.
