Worked in Civil Engineering all my Life, Started with Hydrological Survey in 1975, Whangarei, Then to Auckland in 1978, Working for Ministry of Works and Developments. Most memorable stuff doing survey work on the City to Waterview motorway, I tell my kids that I set out all the waterviiew interchange area. Left Downers (Works as it was called then) in 1988. I then worked for 5 years with Longyear Concrete cutting, initially promoting a grooving machine they bought in to groove Whenuapai Runway, Promoted it as friction enhancement to roading authorities around the country, then FH bought one. Worked as operations manager there, and in sales.. Joined Auckland Asphalt in 1993, Project Manager, Chipseal and Hotmix work, Auckland Asphalt was bought by Technics in 95?, Technics bought the 1st? resin bonded surfacing to the country in 97, I oversaw the 1st (failed) application "safegrip" at Papakura. Technics were bought by Downers in 98?. I then left Downers (for a 2nd time) in 2000, Joined Line Marking Systems, Managed their Auckland wide Linemarking performance based Contract, Did 40,000+m2 of Bus Lane and 20,000m2 + of Calcined Bauxite during my time with them. Line Marking Systems were bought by Downers in 2007?. I Left Downers (for a 3rd time) in late 2007, and spent 10 Months with TSL, started their Specialist surfacing division, before starting my own business in Sept 2009
