Strategy Implementation Manager
CurrentHelping executive and plc board leaders make the best long- and medium-term decisions to enable Costain to continue creating connected, sustainable and resilient infrastructure. Responsible for the shaping and delivery of long- and medium-term planning across the Costain group. Leading communications and sharing of strategic thinking knowledge and development of strategic frameworks.Value added: - Developed playbook for how Costain do strategic market assessments and business planning including delivery of multiple market assessments across different infrastructure markets- Leading engagement to ensure environmental, social and sustainability issues are at the centre of our strategy- Programme managed delivery of strategic assessments and business plan development across the business, ensuring on-time and high-quality outputs to plc board while measuring feedback to ensure a year-on-year improvement- Developing a framework for choosing and managing strategic partner relationships and possible M&A targets by ensuring strategic, cultural and process alignment with Costain- Ensuring inclusive stakeholder engagement with every part of the business to ensure full, in-depth challenge of everything we do- Responsible for communications plan for the strategy and transformation team, delivering reports to the executive and plc boards as well as ensuring effective and clear communication of the strategy to the wider business- Developed and delivered training material on strategic thinking across the business and supply chain, developed life-long learning framework for the strategy and planning team and set-up and chair strategy and transformation community of practice- Working closely with the engineering team to drive and develop a Future of Engineering Strategy to ensure we continue to meet customer needs in the changing environment- Implementing a learning organisation model throughout the strategy team to drive continuous improvement
