As a financial professional (for over 30 years) I have a wealth of experience dealing in disputes, strategic development, conflict, interrogation, analytics, human resources, decision making, union negotiations, relationship management, goal setting and directing teams of employees. My philosophies, coupled with the above “life and work” skills are the tools required to be a competent, effective and trusted mediator. I am an accrediated Civil/Commercial and Family mediator. A key factor, in mediation, is my ability to find and deliver pragmatic solutions whether in a financial or operational sense, whilst being extremely aware of the interests of all the stakeholders involved in the solution.

I now look after the financial affairs of Taro Pharmaceuticals who are winding down their operations in Ireland. Previously, as a senior member of the management team I was the chief financial officer for the site with responsibility for the Balance sheet and working capital. I designed and installed the complete finance function and developed a monthly local reporting package which facilitated consolidation to the Group consolidation package. (Accounts were prepared under US and Irish GAAP) I prepared the detailed strategic plan for the site which included (a) utilisation of existing and new capital investment (b) market research for new products selection and market selection (c) future cost and revenue pricing strategies (d) capacity utilisation along with the site structure by department and (e) detailed P & L’s, balance sheets and cash flows (f) development of meaningful KPI’s for the site. I also managed the sites relationship with the IDA, Local and Corporate Banking, solicitors, auditors and Tax consultants. SOX compliance was also my responsibility.

I was company secretary, C.F.O, and a Board member of the Antigen Group of companies. With a team of eleven my key financial responsibility areas for the Group were (a) management of the groups debt and loan portfolio (b) Investment decisions in capital, products, licences, royalties, acquisitions, (c) short term and medium term budgeting (d) Treasury management (e) group insurances and (f) I.T strategy for the group and (g) financial and management accounting.
