I am a twenty plus year veteran of media sales and management, primarily in broadcast television. I have extensive transactional experience, but am comfortable and at ease working on the local direct as well.I have served in many managerial roles including General Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, and Director of Sales over a 3 station, two market, combo. In all of these roles, I have lead by example, holding myself and those working with me to an unparalleled ethical standard.My primary goal as a manager is to prepare an account executive to be as prepared as possible when they hit the streets. To often, managers try to instill the way they sell on their sales staff, which can be disastrous. An educated sales team may lose a few battles, but they will not lose the war.Broadcast sales has changed dramatically in the last 3 years, and it imperative to recognize the role digital and social media will play in the future. The marketing world is coming down to delivering content to the screens in people lives, be it a smart phone, tablet, home computer, or tv screen. It is my intention and stated purpose to stay in the lead as broadcast television changes our business model to adapt to this new marketplace.In response to what I perceive as antiquated revenue development business models, I developed a new business program to move unsold inventory to new advertisers as well as address their digital needs in the new marketing marketplace.
