Prosper 4 Group works to increase the number of marginalized people employed throughout the UK, working for inclusive employers. From speaking to many business leaders we have learned that one of the greatest issues they face is finding and keeping, the staff they need. We understand the problems they face, and have developed solutions to solve them. We are now increasing our reach to all groups of marginalized peoples. We know that, for both business and society, there is a substantial economic and social benefit to employing marginalized people. We not only advocate for change in this area, we are creating it too.

We founded Resume Foundation to enable us to promote and deliver inclusivity in employment - genuinely delivering Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality. We delivered Employability programmes, Self-employment programmes, Tech Bootcamps and Special Projects in Horseracing.

I volunteered with St Giles Trust as a support worker, focusing on Employer Engagement – finding jobs and training opportunities with employers for St Giles clients. This builds on my experience in obtaining employment opportunities, and involves presenting, meeting with target employers, and developing lasting relationships.

I became an independent consultant working for Mayfair Economics, specialising in developing businesses, operational plans, and commercial structures for clients in both the UK and Third World countries. In this role I worked on a project in the Criminal Justice System with a number of philanthropic organisations to identify models to promote “work” in prisons.

I became a Partner in the Financial Services practice of Deloitte, one of the world’s top accounting firms. I was responsible for over 50 staff, finding new clients, and developing services which they needed. I worked in the banking, insurance, and investment sectors, in both the UK and overseas. In this role I was training and recruitment Partner for part of the firm, helping to develop new processes for recruiting and selection, from new graduate level up to partner training.I became an expert in regulatory matters, especially new applications for licences, resolving disputes with the FSA, and developing approaches to managing regulatory relationships with UK and overseas regulators. I led training for clients from Merrill Lynch to Goldman Sachs on anti-money laundering techniques, and increasingly worked for overseas clients.

I joined Deloitte as a Manager and progressed through the firm to the level of Director. I held a range of management jobs, and had teams of staff working for me on many different assignments for clients. I became an expert in pensions and compliance processes, interpreting requirements from PIA to IMRO and then into the new regulator. My clients included insurance companies, banks, intermediaries, and the DTI, working on compensation issues for ex-miners.

I was seconded from the ABI (see below) to the newly-established Personal Investment Authority (“PIA”). I was responsible for setting up from scratch the services of monitoring firms regulated by the PIA in the pensions and life insurance sectors. I had 15 staff, and developed new IT databases and solutions for PIA.

I became Company Secretary of ABI, the leading trade association in the insurance sector. I worked for eight years doing a range of jobs, including my secondment to the PIA. My role was primarily centred on strategy development and industry strategy. This involved work on the availability of insurance, and the establishment of new regulators in the sector. I also worked on Investment Management, Financial Regulation, and consumer protection initiatives.

I worked for this Trade Association in the safety requirements for toys and children’s games. I qualified as a Company Secretary during my two years with the company. I had a small team of staff, and worked on projects from organising an annual trade fair to compliance with EU Directives.

I trained for a year to become a butler and then worked in The Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor, in the City of London. I worked for four different Lord Mayors, and was part of the Lord Mayor’s private staff, doing the full range of Butler’s duties, including catering, and staff and household management.
