Year 4/5 Teacher, Mathematics Project Leader

I am a generalist classroom teacher with school, curriculum and team leadership experience.I sit on the school Mathematics Committee, developed to lead the initiative outlined in the school strategic plan, maintain analysis of school performance data and continue to reshape the strategies developed to lead teacher and student learning improvement.

I have taken on study to help change career. The study in Business Leadership and Marketing is new and I am seeking work to gain experience in fields linked to my studies.

My roles included:Numeracy Leader (2010 - 2012), Numeracy Coach (2011)Middle Years Leader: Years 5 - 8 (2012), Level 4 Area leader (2010),Level 4 Generalist Classroom Teacher 2010 - 2012Level 3 Area Leader and classroom teacher (2009)In my time at Malvern Central I also sat on the leadership team and Consultative Committee.

Plan, lead and implement the improvement strategies in Mathematics outlined by the school strategic plan. Work with teams and individual teachers to further the capacity to shape learning to cater for the needs of cohorts of students and individuals in the classroom. To analyze and further reshape the school improvement strategy based on student achievement results.

As acting Pedagogical Leader I was responsible for driving excellence in teaching in Level 4. I lead the team in curriculum direction and planning and building knowledge of the teaching and learning process. Incorporating initiatives from the Kew Innovation and Excellence cluster has helped to invigorate our teaching practices to improve student learning. In this role I sat on the school’s leadership group and pedagogy group driving whole school professional development. I was involved in the Education and Policy sub committee, developing policies for the school.
