In this role, I ensure that the move-in, operation and move-out of many events including high-profile, high-security and large-scale events went as smooth as possible while dealing with any issues, in a high pressure environment. My job is to operate as a senior Team Member, taking on many of the roles and responsibilities of team leaders, supervisors and managers in the department as delegated. I collaborate and liaise with other team members, on occasion as leader of a team, to meet demands of Event Organisers, cooperating with 3PL and 4PL freight-forwarding companies such as Agility, Expo Contractors and the needs of hundreds of thousands of different exhibitors. In addition, I perform day-to-day duties and operations on the loading docks, including loading and unloading cargo using suitable material-handling equipment, such as forklift. I have the chance to lead the development of training programs and documentation to help new employees understand their role better, also inspecting the unloaded cargo for any damages or irregularities. My task is to ensure that the dock areas are clean and free of debris in order to prevent accidents and injuries. Moreover, I managed and coordinated the accurate tracking of all materials received at the loading docks, ensuring they are properly delivered to appropriate parties and received. I have the assignment to maintain relationships with all contractors to ensure all personnel are aware of and adhering to facility policies and applicable laws. Furthermore, I oversee and monitor loading dock logistics, ensuring the efficient operation for all areas of responsibility, including product, people and machinery. Finally, I evaluate new technologies and best practices to facilitate the movement of goods/ freight and made recommendations regarding equipment lifecycle, management, and replacement. To conclude, I act as a member of the Work Health and Safety Committee as of December 2017.

As a Transport Coordinator, I take care and manage Customer, Driver and Sales queries and deliver high-level customer service. I also coordinate and handle on-the-day operations in the context of a Coach company. Additionally, I perform problem-solving of all kinds of last-minute changes like flight cancellations, coach breakdowns and job additions. My task is to utilise proprietary software, 2-way radios and Telstra call-centre to liaise between Customer, Driver and Sales to find the best solutions whilst operating within legislative and regulatory requirements. I had the job to dispatch drivers to complete deliveries and plan delivery routes, while optimising transport planning in the most efficient way for customer and stakeholders. Moreover, I liaise and collaborate with transportation providers and freight payment team to ensure proper accessorial cost and flows. I have the duty to evaluate, record and respond to additional/special service requests (i.e. lift-gate, inside delivery, etc).Another assignment is to maintain proper, timely and accurate administration, performing the related duties. Furthermore, I provide assistance in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues, meeting on-time delivery (OTD) requirements and follow on discrepancies with suppliers and Customer Service.
