 Estimating equine facilities including, but not limited to: riding arenas, horse barns, run in sheds, pole barns, wedding venues, high end garages, and breeding facilities. Also responsible for bidding large scale commercial buildings. Managing the bid board. Communicating specifications with various subcontractors to obtain pricing. Demonstrating knowledge of a wide variety of building products and materials and understanding local building codes.  Drafting. Creating scaled conceptual hand drawings including floor plans, section drawings, and 3D rendering using Google SketchUp. Communicating specs with architects, reading, understanding, and dissecting blue prints with great attention to detail. Sales. Following up on sales leads, cultivating sales leads, presenting products and processes to prospective clients, site visits to obtain all necessary information to accurately bid projects including, but not limited to: taking dimensions, creating rough on site sketches, discussing specifications, needs, and wants of prospective clients. Field work. Assisting the field crews with truss setting and other various installation procedures. Consulting with the sister company Beechdale Woodworks on wood working processes and techniques, trouble shooting machinery, assistance with new shop layouts, and safety procedures.
