Qualified as an actuary in Australia, and worked in at IAG and Westpac Insurance Services before joining Aon Re in 2001 to concentrate on the placing of reinsurance programmes for Australian based insurance companies. Moved to London with Aon Re in 2003 - now specialising in Specialty Casualty broking for London based insurance companies and Lloyd's Syndicates writing global casualty business.Left Aon Re in Feb 2010 for a 12 month sabbatical travelling through Europe, the Middle East and India.Rejoined Aon Benfield in April 2011 - initially in Australia for 6 months but ultimately moving to Singapore in October 2011.Key skills:- Very strong analytics, particularly in the area of structuring reinsurance programmes and looking at the subsequent retained volatility in the account- Understanding of what it takes to appropriately service key Clients in the financial services space- 17 years experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry across all areas, giving a deep understanding of key issues and the creation of value - Problem solving combined with an ability to understand, synthesise and present complex issues- A global network of insurance and reinsurance client contacts - A strong team mentality and approach to business
