With over 23 years of experience as a traditional timber frame joiner, I have developed a comprehensive approach to assessing historic structures through praxis. This brings the insights of practical implementation to the application of current preservation theory. Working with state and local agencies, engineering firms, non-profit organizations and individual property owners, I have developed a portfolio of assessment styles tailored to a variety of investigative goals and needs.Following the guidelines offered by the US Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and documentation methods specified by the Historic American Building Survey, I have blended modern investigative techniques and technologies with traditional research methods to offer comprehensive assessments.
