Current2015 to present: Lead Cloud Platform developer. Create VM images that can be deployed in any framework. Infrastructure deployed using HEAT, applications deployed with ansible. Technical skills used: docker, kubernetes, ansible, python, Node-js, ruby, kafka, redis, linux, postgres, openstack.2012 to 2014: Sole developer for an enterprise platform that provides commercial and emergency location services, including cutting edge SMS911 location, to Verizon Wireless subscribers in the US. Technical skills used: SQL, Java, Oracle, RHEL, BEA-weblogic, and Visual Basic. 2012: Lead designer and developer for GEM9-1-1(trademarked). A mobile friendly web application allowing PSAP operators to respond to 911 text messages. The application won high praise within the company for it's intuitive design. During demonstrations, we'd hand anyone in the room a tablet and without any instruction, written or verbal, they could perform the actions of a PSAP operator, responding to emergency text messages as well as locate the mobile device texting for help. This application won the Gold Award in 2013 for Network Products Hot Companies and Best Products. Technical skills used: ruby-on-rails, linux, apache, sql-lite, javascript, html, and cascading style sheets.2011: Developer for system health monitoring platform that gathered and displayed application metrics for technicians to visualize with graphs and set configurable threshold alarms. Technical skills used: java, linux, solaris, ruby-on-rails, apache, sql-lite, javascript, html, and cascading style sheets.2010: Lead developer for code generation engine. Schema artifacts input into the engine produce complete batch provisioning tools. This tool is still highly regarded today since no one has needed to write a provisioning tool since its creation. Instead they simply create their specific schema and dynamically code generate a matching batch import tool. Technical skills used: java, velocity, and Solaris OS.
