The Office of Constituent Services of Governor Deval Patrick serves as a liaison between the constituents of Massachusetts, and the services and government agencies of the Commonwealth. During my internship, I was responsible for assisting constituents that contacted the office with a wide array of issues ranging from MassHealth eligibility and veteran's affairs, to local government issues. Constituent cases were then processed in a CRM database and sent to an office contact in the appropriate state agency. Cases were followed by the Constituent Services team until their resolution. We collaborated with state agencies and initiatives such as the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Department of Corrections, Department of Unemployment Assistance, MassHealth, and Commonwealth Care. I was also responsible for processing all correspondence to the Governor's office, including physical mail and e-mail, opinion/comment calls, and official correspondence from other government agencies.
