New River Valley Unwired (now part of All Points Broadband) is a regional ISP in Southwest Virginia.I led a team of developers who:Designed and built a distributed IoT system (including custom hardware) to monitor battery voltage, temperature, water pressure, and other measurements across a five-county region. This allowed us to monitor backup batteries in remote locations, and provide municipal water tank monitoring as a service to local governments.Built a network operations system that allowed non-technical users to provision and monitor a network of wireless internet devices which freed the network engineers to perform network planning and upgrades. This system gathered operational parameters from thousands of radio devices and allowed for predictive failure analysis and capacity planning.Integrated a new billing system with the network operations system and the website which enabled automatic account suspension and reinstatement with online payments. This included a customer service dashboard that allowed customer service representatives to view customer account status and network device status in a single application.

As Chief Program Officer I was responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, and housing of 15,000 volunteers annually, who engaged in home repair for the poorest residents of Central Appalachia.
