Empowering staff to deliver exceptional patient care and enabling healthcare systems to positively impact public perception, has been the focus of my career.I believe in creating environments and cultures that lead to success. When faced with a challenge, I articulate a clear vision and systematically build the underlying foundation for change, focusing on people, process and infrastructure. Twice in my career, I was tasked with turning around hospital systems that were challenged in meeting their community’s needs. I gave a voice to front-line staff who knew best how to deliver exceptional patient care, built relationships with physicians, nurses, healthcare staff and community members; and initiated large-scale construction projects to bring new services and modernize capabilities. Game-changing results: ► Athol Hospital: Turned a profit within 9 months of executing strategy. First nursing union in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to successfully vote to decertify.► Heywood: Created ADA Diabetes Center of Excellence with Joint Commission Certificate of Distinction for Inpatient Diabetes Care—1 of only 88 hospitals nationwide. ► St. Mary’s Hospital: Delivered consistent annual profits after years of financial losses. AHA Nova Award, CHA Achievement Citation and Foster McGaw Award I offer experience across all hospital operations, including patient access, experience and quality of care; general administration, policy development; and process improvement to achieve operational efficiencies and cost savings.
