Michael focuses his practice on business litigation, including commercial litigation, employment law, toxic tort matters, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and valuation, as well as handling class action and multi-party tort suits.Litigation Experience- Representing major energy company in mass tort action brought by more than 700 Brooklyn residents, alleging in excess of $1 billion in damages for diminution in value and personal injury claims, relating to a large plume of oil beneath a former refinery. - Representing major distributor in action brought by a former employee, alleging wrongful termination and sexual harassment under Title VII.- Represented major airline in an action against a leading airplane manufacturer relating to a terminated service contract. Secured favorable settlement for client. -Represented major satellite company in an action brought by former shareholders, alleging breach of fiduciary duty, aiding and abetting, and appraisal. Secured favorable settlement. - Represented significant health care marketing company in an action brought by a former employee, alleging wrongful termination, whistleblower and wage and hour violations, and breach of contract. Secured favorable settlement through mediation. - Represented significant health care marketing company in an action brought by commercial property owner, alleging breach of contract and fraudulent conveyance. Successfully dismissed. Prior to private practice, Michael served as law clerk to the Honorable William C. Meehan, P.J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey. Michael is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey. Michael received his law degree from Pace Law School in 2003, where he graduated cum laude.
