INTRODUCTIONMichael D. Rosberg, PhD. Began his work with the treatment refractory mentally ill in 1979. During his training, he benefited from experience throughout the continuum of mental health services. He has provided treatment, trained and taught multiple treatment environments. These include both outpatient and inpatient settings directed toward the care of individuals with refractory disorders. Additionally, experience had been gained in the outpatient care of more common life issues. Both a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (MFT). Dr. Rosberg maintains a private practice. Major areas of clinical interest include a modern therapy for psychotic disorders, neuropsychology and assessment, as well as contemporary treatments for autism. Additionally, Dr. Rosberg has, over the past thirty years, been a featured presenter at multiple national conferences including the National Alliance for Mentally Ill (NAMI), the International Symposium for Psychotherapy and Schizophrenia, and multiple universities and treatment environments. Dr. Rosberg has also consulted for mental health departments through contracts with eleven California counties. Recently, he was instrumental in the writing and passage of the landmark AB1425. Signed into law in 2002, AB 1425 is directed toward the provision of mental health services for individuals residing within California communities.Specialties: Psychotherapy, assessment, program evaluation and development.
