I started working at Scheels because I was looking for a part-time job that was very flexible with my school schedule. Scheels was one of my favorite places to shop at because there is everything you could ever need there, so that had a huge influence on my choosing. I started up my own pressure washing business as a little side hustle to make some extra money after high school. I started working at Wiseman Construction when I turned sixteen. I worked whenever I had time off of school during holiday breaks, COVID shut down, and summers. I wanted to work somewhere where I can learn long life skills working with my hands, and Wiseman Construction was the right choice for me. During my time in this industry, I learned basic construction, for example, laying flooring, setting cabinets, siding homes, and the use of tools and heavy equipment. I really enjoyed this job because every day it was something new.
