I’m currently employed by Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) as a Fiscal Information Data Analyst. I was hired to build financial models and provide fiscal information to Management, Legislative Staff, and Public Data Requests. I was recruited to DOC and assigned to tracking COVID-19 vaccinations and testing. I gather weekly data associated with vaccine administration which is used in two weekly updates to executive leadership. I have also lent help in other areas writing visual basic for applications (VBA) to automate the update process of Excel. I use SQL, Excel, and Power BI on a daily basis. Prior to coming to DOC, I worked for Washington Employment Services Department (ESD) in the same capacity supporting customer service with call analytics developing dashboards, automating data collection, and providing ad-hoc reports. I was included in executive management meetings where I as better able to understand what data was important to them (reporting and decision making) which help me to build better content into dashboards and ad-hoc reporting.
