My roles for this organization are customer facing.Account manager for some clients and senior applications engineer for a large key account (Intel). From a sales perspective, the silicon market has experienced a period of undersupply in this period, so the focus is maintaining supply to customers and pricing agreements that facilitate long term business relationships.My applications role focuses on quick resolution of any quality problems and supporting qualifications of product improvements or new configurations of the product portfolio. This is a multi-disciplinary role that can involve 8D problem solving with FMEA and control plan improvement, customer PCNs involving statistical analysis of large data sets to determine process equivalence, project management, customer audit coordination, metrology development/standardization support, and reporting SPC practices.To maintain my link to capital equipment, I partnered with an amazing teammate to qualify a more cost effective inspection toolset to SEH's customers. This enables competition to the tools of record. A rare feat in our industry to utilize an alternative to KLA. This has resulted in SEH realizing millions of dollars in savings from integrating a second source supplier into the manufacturing process.

This role focused on directing product management for Onto Innovation's bare wafer inspection products. My service here was unfortunately short, however, I maximized my time by creating a product roadmap for Onto's all surface inspection system NovusEdge. I supported the applications and sales team in penetrating a new application at a significant bare wafer account.It was gratifying to one again use my bare wafer manufacturing domain knowledge and apply it to product marketing in semiconductor inspection and metrology capital equipment.

I was recruited into this role by the Company CEO and what a trial by fire this was! This period of time reflects an outsized portion of what I learned and apply to this day. The main success here was identifying and leveraging the product's technological advantage that the focus customer base did not actually want. This was accomplished with a fearless sales and applications team to characterize the product and identify the complex customer relationships needed to succeed. The resulting sales far exceeded forecast.The next generation product was introduced and ADE was quickly bought out. After the M&A, I managed an another product and documented the roadmap needed to increase gross revenue through new feature sets.Aspects of this role:-Product and feature requirements / definition-Value proposition creation-Creating marketing collateral for sales and marketing-Leveraging product applications into sales-Product presentations to the worldwide market of IC makers and silicon wafer manufacturers

The biggest impact in this role was participating in the development of a new quality parameter for silicon wafers - nanotopography. This was an industry wide effort with the metrology tool vendor, silicon wafer suppliers, and the IC maker. I represented SEH at the engineering level and worked through the process of identifying the metric, characterizing capability, and the implementation at SEH. The ability to meet new colleagues industry wide at this early stage of my career was invaluable.My main responsibility for SEH during this time was engineering supervisor for the Company's metrology engineers and technicians. We sustained and implemented the high volume manufacturing metrology tools. This was great experience to obtain hands-on experience with a variety of toolsets.During this time, I became a subject matter expert for the application of laser based inspection for defects on silicon wafers.
