Michael worked at Chick-fil-a through High School and into College. At Chick-fil-A, Michael worked on what was referred to as the "Front Line". Front Line responsibilities include helping guests receive what was ordered, organizing and protecting cash given as payments, and keeping the dining room clean. Michael also worked outside as an order taker, a position which requires clear communication with the employee among other employees and guests. Once he started taking classes year round, Michael started working at Conservice where he corrects any system errors in utility bills being read. In this position, Michael communicates with his coworkers to make sure that all bills coming through the system are correctly charging the client what is due. Michael served a religious mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 2018-2020 in the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil. While there, Michael learned Portuguese, which he can speak and write fluently, and learned to understand what individuals want and how to better communicate his capacity to help those individuals achieve their goals.
