About Michael Davis
30 years of leadership in the outdoor industry. “Officially” retired, but continuing to assist local outdoor retailers on a part-time basis here in Freeport, Maine - currently this includes selling kayaks/SUPs, bikes, and Nordic gear at the Bike, Boat, & Ski store for L.L. Bean, selling high-end alpine gear at Stio Freeport, and assisting local used outdoor gear shops (supporting the circular economy). I will also continue to instruct 100% online business and leadership courses at the University of Southern Maine. Among my favorite courses are those focusing on corporate social responsibility, sustainability, entrepreneurship, human resources and employee relations, and leading change.
