Tower Consultant, Lan
The Tower Consultants role is to oversee and ensure the efficient service delivery of GTA and GTA Local Area Network (LAN) environment. This includes oversight responsibility for the managed services being delivered by service providers and to ensure efficient execution of all IT processes and meeting of service level requirements for the LAN environment. The Tower Consultant will also work closely with the Service Delivery Management staff and managed service providers’ service delivery team to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions that meet future GTA and GTA Customer’s business needs. Enterprise Network Manager
As the Enterprise Network Manager for the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle Safety , I was responsible for the management of two network and desktop support teams. One team provided computer and local area network support to the agency’s 55 locations across the state for Driver’s License and Commercial Motor Carrier Enforcement Divisions as well as Headquarters. The second team of technicians provided support to the Georgia Registration and Title Information System (GRATIS) which existed on a separate DMVS network with which county tax collectors offices used to register and issue motor vehicle registrations to the citizens of Georgia. This network spanned to over 165 locations which had varying numbers of endpoint terminals (from one to 10) per location.
Management And Technical Consultant
With COMFORCE I was an independent contractor that worked on two different projects for the company: The first project was working as a technical unit manager for a tier II server and user support group at Bellsouth Business Systems. In this capacity I supervised a combination of 12 contractors and BellSouth employees who managed 160 Windows NT 4.0 servers and over 5600 users in two domains that spanned across 9 states. This project ended due to an across-the-board, internal outsourcing at BellSouth to another company.The second project I was a part of involved the Georgia Public Service Commission’s (PSC) Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division’s being split off from the PSC and merged into the newly created Department of Motor Vehicle Safety. My responsibilities in this contract included:• Creation of a standalone Windows 2000 domain (separate from GAPSC)• Transition all of the officers and support staff to the new domain• Assist in the network setup of the new GA DMVS network infrastructure• Over the course of one weekend, move all assets to the new building and bring the infrastructure up so that the employees that left work at PSC on Friday could report to DMVS on Monday and be fully functional.

As a Technical Services Manager I was responsible for the day to day management of the Tech department and its technicians. Ensuring the prompt repair or upgrade of customer’s computers while maintaining a healthy P&L statement were the primary responsibilities.
