As Head of IT Service Management I am responsible for supporting the services offered to Open University students and staff through Service Desk, Operations Monitoring and Incident/Problem Management, and for the processes around the Change, Transition and Release of those services.

I have worked primarily in Windows Desktop administration (primarily software/patch distribution and Group Policy) with additional responsibilities for Active Directory management and scripting/automation, server and systems management (including System Center Configuration Manager, Remote Desktop Services, Application Virtualisation and Forefront Identity.

This work involved collecting and collating data on the fashion industry with the ultimate aim of starting training programmes for fashion designers. The data was collected by telephoning and interviewing designers and managers from major fashion houses then collated and summarised using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
