Michael Davis is co-founder and former CEO of Appriss, Incorporated (1994). Appriss provides proprietary data and analytics solutions to effectively and efficiently address safety, fraud, risk and compliance issues for government and commercial enterprises worldwide. Our customers are leading commercial enterprises, information service providers and government agencies with focus in retail, healthcare and public safety.In 2000 Mr. Davis helped to organize and establish the Mary Byron Project in honor of the young women whose tragic murder resulted in the development of VINE. The Mary Byron Project is a 501C Public Charity focused on ending the cycle of domestic violence. He continues an active roll on the Mary Byron Foundation board as well as other non-profit boards in the Louisville area.Mr. Davis is a two time winner of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and in 2004 he was awarded the prestigious Paul H. Chapman award by the Foundation for Improvement of Justice. This award is given to individuals who have championed improvement to the national criminal justice system. Most recently, in 2009 Mr. Davis was awarded the US Congressional Crime Victims Award for Allied Professionals in recognition for his professional work on behalf of crime victims.
