I am a Chartered Accountant - with a passion for improving business outcomes through technology and innovative processes.This led me to create Virtual Headquarters in 2007 to enable companies, professionals, and entrepreneurs to leverage the benefits of a Virtual Office.The Virtual Office service allows companies to have a Virtual Receptionist. This lets them:• present a professional image by never missing a call• drive cost savings by outsourcing the call answering process• have prestige CBD addresses in various citiesMy knowledge of the Virtual Office space is second to none.After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at Touche Ross (Sydney) in 1985, where I specialised in audit, I assumed the role of Assistant Controller for the London based merchant bank, Dillon Read Limited, in 1986-1987. My responsibility was for the overall financial control and risk management of the bank’s activities, reporting to the Finance Director.In my time at Dillon Read, I re-engineered the back office operations of the bank including support and settlements. The SunSystems financial software was selected by myself and implemented throughout the bank.My introduction to SunSystems led me to return to Australia in 1988 to establish Sonic Computing (Australia) Pty Ltd which pioneered the introduction of SunSystems into Australia. Sonic also pioneered the Platinum Financial Software (now Epicor) into Australia in 1992. Sonic’s success led to its acquisition by Grant Thornton in 1994 and became known as Grant Thornton Computing Pty Ltd (GTC). As General Manager, I continued to have full responsibility for the management of the company, which in July 1997 was acquired by Professional Advantage Pty Ltd (PA). I served as an adviser to the board to effect the smooth integration of the GTC business.
