I'm currently looking to bring my energy and experience to a new industry, with the hopes of supporting creative ventures through my communication and technical skills. I hold a B.A. (honours) in English Literature from the University of Calgary, an M.A. in English Literature from the University of British Columbia, and am currently midway through a B. Eng in Software Engineering at Carleton University. My main expertise is in developing clear and effective communication strategies and implementing technical solutions to problems.I hold valuable experience across diverse industries and roles. In the film industry I've been an assistant producer, video editor, camera operator, boom operator, location sound mixer, grip, and P.A. In the service industry I've been a barman, barback, kitchen manager, chef de partie, and cook. I've also laboured, landscaped, done a brief stint in a coal plant, and worked many daylight shifts in a graveyard. My abilities include written communication, copy writing and editing, grant writing, team management, project management, and computer programming.
