Thank you for visiting my profile, conversations are welcome so please feel free to message me.In my career, I feel blessed to have been part of a wide array of development projects in a variety of roles. However, the role I’m most passionate about is that of servant leader where it’s my privilege to equip, encourage, and empower people to be their best and do their best. I do this by guiding teams and individuals to communicate, collaborate and plan. Some of my successes include:•A project to modernize a complex, legacy data warehouse product was assigned to an offshore team that didn’t have a firm understanding of the system. I facilitated the team and the tool's subject matter experts through the exercise of breaking down the legacy tool into its component parts and showing how each element related to another (think family tree visual).•Led a team of seasoned database engineers and product folks to satisfy government regulatory reporting requirements for healthcare providers. Considering the complexity of the requirements, the data collected and the needs of the industry, this work required a great deal of understanding, organization, and planning. In both examples, the work breakdown painted a picture of reality for the teams to understand the subject matter and effort allowing for more efficient development, project planning and budgeting. While the key factors of success came from the communication, collaboration, and planning, what I’m most proud of is they became the foundation of the team’s overall success and daily functioning. Basically, becoming engrained in what they did as a team and individuals. It also gave a 30,000-foot view of the work providing transparency to leadership so they could understand the “depth and breadth” of their teams' endeavors. Once effort was underway, data was mined from the teams' life cycle management tools which aided in projected completion dates and continuous improvement.
