As a Program Manager, I am responsible for leading the implementation of projects to ensure program goals are met and are on-time and on-budget, meeting the schedule, functionality, and cost requirements throughout. Presenting and reporting to leadership through company, department, and management meetings is vital to ensuring alignment on program status and direction. Manage and care for a small herd of crossbred beef cattle and hogs on the beautiful DeDecker farm - located in central Iowa. Duties include managing barns, formulating feed rations, caring for daily livestock needs and marketing meat products locally. Duties also include managing vegetable and fruit production - tending to acres of sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, and beans, as well as hay, row crop products, and a small apple orchard of nearly 30 trees.

Working as part of a team committed to a highly collaborative installation and research project on positive pressure filtration, an innovative technology Iowa Select Farms is implementing to prevent the spread of viruses into sow farms. Positive pressure filtration pulls the air into the facility through special dormers lining on one side of each barn, then through filter banks, up into the attic then down into the barns through ceiling inlets. Job duties and responsibilities included:- Troubleshoot and repair issues with the ventilation system to gain an understanding of how the system functions to prevent disease entry and provide the ideal environment for the pigs - Completing barn audits for quality assurance - Programming and monitoring ventilation controllers - Developing troubleshooting manuals and SOPs for farm managers - Project and crew management/leadership - Analyzing and interpreting data - Assisting in project design, planning and implementation - Identifying improvements that can be made to the ventilation and filtration system and implement company wide

Lead and organize weekly class meetings with freshmen engineering students in the Agricultural engineering department. I assist students each week as they complete interactive labs, participate in industry tours, listen to guest speakers and presenters, and assist them in planning for their future academic careers at Iowa State. In my free time, I also tutor some of my students and assist them with questions about various engineering courses.

Developed online sites and web-based apps using Microsoft Powerapps and Sharepoint for company and department use in technology, transportation and administration. Designed, tested and troubleshooted apps and forms for optimal performance and established work flows for various administrative tasks.

Worked alongside manufacturing specialists with grain dryers to build, test, troubleshoot and inspect technological components, including wiring, electronics and motors. Developed a set of detailed work instructions for future training purposes, and trained several other interns and employees on building and troubleshooting grain dryer electronics.
