Michael Defeo's vast experience in film and commercialproduction is unmatched! He started his art career inprosthetic makeup design and stopmotion puppetcreation in the late 1980's for major New Yorkproduction houses. From there, he worked on majorBroadway shows designing and producing makeup andprops for six years. Blue Sky Studios was his home for15 years. Creating the 3D Modeling and Sculpturedepartments Michael was a key force at Blue Skyworking on feature films such as Ice Age 1,2,3,4,Robots, Horton Hears a Who, Rio and Epic. Michael'sresponsibilities include character design and sculpting,modeler management and visual design.In 2010 Michael left Blue Sky to pursue a freelance 3Dcharacter development artist and is currently workingon the Lorax, Despicable Me2 and The Minions Movie.
